Thanks in advance!

CloverCon is entirely run and planned by the Somerset County  4-H Anime and Manga Club: Village Hidden in the Clovers, and the club members’ friends and family.  This convention is %100 non profit.

The CLANGA (clover + manga = clanga), club will also be represented.  They will have CLANGA bracelets, flyers and a new poster promoting their club.  We hope that you will come check out our “chibi” club!

The 4-H Exchange Club will be running the kitchen to raise funds for their club’s activities.  Come and get some yummy (and reasonably priced) food and drink!

Speaking of fund raising, we will be having penny wars going on throughout the day.  The money raised from this event will go towards both Water Wells in South Africa and Girls Learn International.
We will also be selling paper cranes for disaster relief in Japan.

Thanks in advance for coming to CloverCon and supporting these charities!

Anime Parliament at CloverCon!

Adam Hennessy , The "Magistrate" of Anime Parliament, is going to be running his hilarious panel at CloverCon! Here's a first hand account from one of our own!
When I attended my first anime convention last year, I didn't exactly know what to expect. Sure, I expected the scores of Cosplayers, the glorious geek-out panels about video games and anime shows, and of course, copious amounts of Pocky. As I scanned the program, something unexpected caught my eye. Anime Parliament.

"Welcome to the highest court in the anime multi-verse," the program read. "Anime Parliament is where you can step forward as a character or just a concerned fan, and attempt to institute the changes you feel need to be made." Always being one for a good hypothetical debate, I decided to check it out.

At the front of the room sat the panelists, who served as moderators for the most hilarious cases ever to be tried. After sharing the rules and a few past cases with us, Parliament was open for audience participants to bring up a case. In "People v. Ash Ketchum," Ash was charged with endangering the environment by releasing Pokemon into the wild.

The Ninja Turtles were tried for damage to NY City. After all, if the Turtles stop Shredder from blowing up a building by inadvertently blowing up the building, are they really helping? And in one of the most amusing, Scott Pilgrim was tried for 6 counts of murder, 1 count of manslaughter for fighting Ramona's evil exes. Though Scott was cleared of the murder counts (self-defense), he was charged with human trafficking for spending the exes-turned-coins on bus fare. His punishment? Scott Pilgrim must spend the rest of eternity as a Mario '?' coin box, suffering, most poetically the same fate his adversaries met.

Parliament provides an opportunity for participants to get their geek on and debate cases from anywhere in the anime/gaming multi-verse - so if you're up to the challenge, check out past cases on their website and see if you've got a case.
